I'm planning breast lift and aug soon and am taking a week off work.

So if I add arms to it will a week still be enough time since I work a desk job?
What was recovery like for arms?

Be happy.

My arms were easy. Others will tell you they had a hard time. I would have been ok to go back to work after a week. Just be careful of reaching too far or lifting too much right after surgery.

I just had my arms done along with a an LBL this past Friday.  I had the drains in my arms out yesterday.  So far what I can say is that my arms are doing pretty good.  They were pretty difficult to move at first, in terms of range of motion.  Now it's easier, however, if I reach - even short distances too much the incisions bother me.  Keep in mind, I'm not a full week out yet.

You can also check with your surgeon to see what he/she recommends for time off from work.  Sometimes people who work desk jobs (I'm one of them) underestimate how much they rely on the strength in their arms for what seems like what is mundane day to day type activities.

Hi Kitten Love, I had my arms done the end of Feb. A week should be fine with having a desk job. Just be careful not to lift anything heavy.  My arms were probaly one of my easiest surgeries besides my breast.  Good Luck  Gail

I'm 3 weeks out from breast lift (no aug) and brachioplasty. I went back to work after a week and also have a desk job.  I was able to work at home when I first went back. My range of motion gets a little better each day but getting dressed and driving were somewhat uncomfortable for a week or two.  Nothing bad though.  As far as the breast lift...I had almost no discomfort there.

Gosh - I am the odd one out!!

On May 25th I had an extended tt, BA & arm lift & lipo to my tighs. Today is 9 days post op - and my arms are the only thing bothering me. I had a LOT of lipo on my arms & they are tight, swollen & black & blue. I can't dress myself yet - as I can not pull anything.

For all of my surgeries I am taking 5 weeks off.

 Hi there,
I am always the one who comes in with a negative take on the arms! They were awful! They were so tight, incisions opened, pulled, sore, ouch! My scars widened and skin stretched out more.

Now, with that all said, it must not have been too bad because I am going back for a brachio revision with more skin to be removed and scars fixed! LOL!

HiJack MommyTeacher!
I had the same issues with my arms!  My left arm is gorgeous and not so bad, but the right one just seems to be a big pain!  It doesn't feel like my arm.  I still have some swelling and often wonder if it's because he took 5 lbs of skin off both arms combined. I stil wear my garment during the day and while I'm at work.  IT helps a lot!

Don't feel bad about feeling like you have negative things to say.  It's the truth and people are looking for the truth.  My tummy tuck was a cake walk - my brachioplasty was not!!

I think we are all different!

It's hard to say because everyone has such a different post-op experience. I would not have been comfortable back at work at 1 week post-op. I also had liposuction to my arms and they were still very sore at 1 week out.
