Calling all tummy tuck revisions!!!!
My surgeon told me today I will need a TT revision after he looked at my pictures. I am eight weeks out and understand I will have to wait until the 6 month mark to reschedule and go back for more work. Does anyone have experience with this or advice on the revision? The rest of my work looks pretty good. I have a few things I would like to have him clean up while I am there that I am sure will be no problem. I just don't know anything about a TT revision and if there are any problems having this done. I will start researching it tonight but thought this was a good place to start!! Thanks, Robin

I had an anchor cut revision when I had my stage 2 surgery. It was a piece of cake and I didn't experience any pain. The pain you feel with a TT comes from the muscle tightening which isn't the case with a revision usually. I am going to have something tweaked in the office soon and he said it wouldn't be too bad. I guess it really depends on how extensive it is.

Hey Robin, did you take new pictures?? I was looking a your 4 week ones again and they look so similar to mine, the pooch anyways (I wish my body looked like yours)).... You look amazing though geeza!!! I am wondering if when they do the stomach tightening if that is part of the pooch problem?? You know he tightens it up so much above the belly button and then when you get under the BB where does the extra go??? Its real tight then nothing but pooch???? Has yours gone down any since those pictures?? I am hoping getting back to the gym next week and loosing a few more pounds will help??? Who knows....

Hey Toni, I am sorry I haven't taken new pictures, I have been out on the road working and visiting. I will take some soon~! No, my tummy hasn't really changed :( My pooch is hanging over my TT incision. It's pretty depressing :( Robin

I am going in Sept/Oct for a minor revision; basically removal of excess skin. It is a procedure done under local anesthesia and the doctor said "come in Friday afternoon for the procedure, back to work Monday morning". The reason for the waiting is to allow the majority of the post op swelling to abate. He said there should be little/no swelling after the revision and if there is it will last only a few days rather than weeks/months.
I would definitely ask more questions about the extent of the work he/she intends to do. That will give you a better idea of what to expect.
Good luck.
