Anyone unhappy with their fake boobs?
I am wanting to get fake breasts in September when I have a Tummy Tuck. I don't know if I want saline or the Mentor "gummy bear" kind.
I'd love to know your input on this. Also, if you have had your implants a while and are unhappy with them please tell me why.
I want to make the best decision for me. I have had 4 consults with my surgeon and he seems to think both kinds are good for different reasons.
I am afraid of the 10-15 year shelf life. I don't wanna have to go through this again! :(
Thanks.

I'm completely happy w/ my implants and I've had them for about 8-9 months now. I have silicone under the muscle. My Dr. doesn't do saline unless there are special circmstances. Mine are under the muscle and comments from friends and boyfriends are they look and feel very natural. A lot of people can't even tell they are fake. A friend of mine has saline and hers look more fake and also look it. The nurse in my Dr.'s office has had hers done twice. The first time she had saline and then switched to silicone. I may be incorrect but I believe the saline implants over time will show more of the lines or wrinkles in the breast (when you bend over and such). That's just my 2 cents.

Hahahha - I agree, GO BIG OR GO HOME, lol!
I am in love with my (only been a few weeks though)...I got saline, only time will tell about the wrinkles, etc. but I'm not too concerned (anything is better than before!)...
So yes, go bigger than you're thinking, I wish I had as well!
Best decision ever!
Hugs,
Kristen
Aloha-
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new breasts! I'm 5'6", weigh 135, and have an athletic build- I did NOT want huge bosoms. I asked for a small C cup, but one of the smartest things I did was bring in several bras and tops/outfits with me to my pre op when I actually chose the size I wanted.
My PS has implants in the office that you can put inside your bra, ranging from 200 cc all the way up to 600 cc, and see what they look like under your clothes. I brought in some different style bras in the 36 B-C-D range, as well as a sports bra, bathing suit, sundress, sweater, blouse, tank top, workout top, etc- and spent over an hour trying them all on with different implant sizes. I realized that one of the reasons I didn't want huge boobs was because I looked like all boobage in my workout and tank top gear...but also that I looked FAT again in sweaters- totally negated all the weight I'd lost. I urge you to spend some time doing this before you make your decision.
I chose 300 cc implants under the muscle, and that is exactly what he put in ( he had warned me that he might go 25 cc more or less depending on how much breast tissue he removed when he made the pocket for the implant). I am very happy with the size, the shape, the look, and the feel of them. I did pay attention to the massage part of recovery- an hour a day per breast for a month post op, starting on day 4-5 post op, I think. It didn't feel great at first ( I'd ice them with frozen raspberries before massaging them) but it is important in order to prevent capsular contracture ( where scar tissue forms and contracts around the implant, making them rock hard, misshapen, or uneven).
I flash myself and my husband many times every single DAY now! I love them! I have never had such pretty breasts! Pre-op, I wore a 36B bra from VS and had inches of air between the cup and my breast tissue. Post op, my size at VS is a 36C, but at Nordstrom's I am a 34D, and those bras fit me better.
Be well, bring different clothes/bras/bathing suits in AHEAD of time and you'll get a better idea of what to choose. XOXOLori
