LBL and BR/BL 11/11!! Any advice
Have some light types of food available. You probably won't have your normal appetite for a little while. After my tummy tuck I had a lot of tightness and I seemed to fill up really quickly. Try to keep your protein intake good. If you need to rely on shakes for a bit it's a good option. Also, have things in easy reach. Things that you use often. You don't want to be doing any unnecessary stretching if you don't have to. I always made sure I had laxatives and stool softeners on hand. The pain meds often constipate you. You don't want to be straining after surgery. Sometimes the pain meds and antibiotics will cause you to itch. It's a good idea to have benedryl on hand. Also wet wipes come in handy for freshening up depending on how soon your surgeon will allow you to shower. Lots of pillows for support and for releiving tension. I used frozen packs of peas for ice packs to help with swelling. I made sure I had my gauze pads and neosporin and tape all supplied for when I got home. That's about all I can think of right now. Best of luck to you!!
