Breast Implant ?

New to the forum, but not new to OH.   I've been reading that breast implants have to be replaced after 5 to 10 years ... is this what your surgeon told you?  Do they have to make new incisions when they do this?  I'm just curious how long they are supposed to last and wouldn't this get kind of expensive in the long run?  Thanks!

My surgeon said that saline implants could stay in as long as they lasted but he strongly suggested that silicone be replaced after a few years. I can't remember the exact number of years. I am thinking he suggested 10 years.
