Seroma after revision

I had a revision to my tummy tuck and liposuction to my belly, flanks and back.  I went to the doctor for a post op visit and he discovered seroma in my belly. He tried to drain it by sticking a needle in my belly but the fluid would not come out.  Have this happen to anyone else?  Where the doctor tried to drain the seroma and was not able to reach the fluid.  Did you have to go back in the hospital to drain the fluid?
