Feeling MUCH better...!!

Hi Everyone...
Thank you each one for all the responses from earlier post...I didn't answer them all just because I was really drained and tired...

I went to see my surgeon, yesterday. The visit was very painful, but I made it thorough...My husband has been a huge help, although yesterday I could have choked him, had I had the energy.! He meant well, but......!!! I shouldn't complain, for he has been an angel, that's for sure, and I couldn't have made it with out him..!!

During my visit with the surgeon, they had to take out my pain pump.. that thing was such a blessing, because when the medicine ran out, the pain kicked in. If you haven't had your surgery yet, ask for it..you will be happy you did...Anyway while removing the pain pump the had to pull the tape from my body, down around my Mons area...CAN YOU SAY...SSSSSHHHH!!!!!!!!T!!!!
I'm not one to curse, but that was something else...HOW DOES ANYONE GET A BIKINI WAX...??
NOT ME..!!!!

The burning I have been having is because of the sutures that were placed into the muscle to tighten the muscles up...I can say today, the burning has subsiding greatly..!!! The burning was the biggest issue I had and the constipation...The constipation has finally ended..!!

I'm feeling stronger today and I hope to post pictures for my friends one day this wk...I have to get a new card for my camera and will post as soon as I get the pictures up on my profile..!! I can see a Huge difference and I am more than excited with the results..!!

Thank you EVERYONE for your support, prayers, and thoughts...I LOVE YOU EACH AND EVERYONE..!!!!!

Well...good morning. Glad things are better.

My pre-op is day after tomorrow and I need to let them know if I want the On-Q pump.
It is the only thing not covered by my insurance. They have approved breasts, TT and arms...but not a pain pump!
Go figure!!

But, what I am hearing from you is YES!!
I will have to pay out of pocket for it but I am guessing it is worth the cost??

So happy things are looking up for you Girl. I am watching you (and Laura) like a hawk.

Take care Sweets...and post pics when you can.

Oh, and Rest and Stay hydrated/supplemented!
(sorry, I'm a nurse...can you tell??)

mkbeany - I paid extra for the OnQ pump - it was $350 or around there.  Mine lasted 4 days.  I can't imagine what the pain would have been without it - it was bad enough with it!

Hi Penny. Thanks for that.
I so far have not heard from one person who said "don't do it...not worth it".
I think my quote was in the 500 range but they will give me the exact figure on Thursday.
I'm thinking that I will go for it!
If it help decrease the amount of narcotics needed then I am on board.
I hate narcotic pain relievers!!

Hope your wound issues resolve soon. I know I would be really bummed if I had healing issues but I have seen it many times before in my nursing practice. Stay astute to the signs of infection and the rest will work itself out. Shame it has to be sooooo slow. Take care!!

Hey Texas Girl...

Yes, I had the On-Q pump and I had no pain until the thing ran out of juice...That's when the burning kicked in...So I know it worked for me...Only thing is, mine only lasted three days and not four...but I would pay the extra again to have it..Mine was $350.

LOL, on the watching like a hawk..!! I know what you mean...I've done the same thing with others, as well..!!

Cyndy - so glad that you are recovering well.  Each day brings it own challenges but it sounds like your husband has been a big help.  Can't wait to see your pictures - thanks for sharing.

Hey Gracie..

Each day is different, that's for sure...I see improvement daily, but I also see that just because I'm feeling so great while flat of my back, does not mean I'm 100% and do everything I THINK I can do...Earlier today, I thought..I think I'll get up and pick up and put things away...Well, that didn't last toooooo long...I was huffng and puffing and moaning and groaning myself right back to my little lift chair.!! I saw real quick, I still have a LOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go, before I'm as good as I THINK I am..!! LOL

How are you doing today, Gracie..?
