I have another friend who is going through dr. L and she also says how nice/good he is.

He is just wayyy out of my price range at the moment

lol....thanks. Have you looked into Dr. Bullocks and Baylor's residency program? Dr. Bullocks assists Dr. L a lot and I would feel confident going through him directly or one of his residents.
