Laura, I'm so sorry to hear this.. and like you said, you were doing so well..! I think we get to feeling somewhat, too normal, and we kinda forget we still need to be EXTRA careful..I know I do, anyway.

If you don't have satin sheets, buy a set, and also wear a satin gown or PJs to help you slip and slide with little effort...This has helped me sooooo much. Not trying to tell you what to do, but you will see a HUGE difference in the way you will be able to turn yourself in bed...

Well I'm glad he doesn't think it's a big deal. Hopefully you'll get all fixed up soon.

I drove my PS nuts when I kept freaking about wound separation. I told him wound separation and necrosis was like my biggest fear. haha

Well crap. That sounds not comfortable!! I hope it heals quickly and uneventfully! Good to hear of this stuff though. Honestly, I'd rather know all the possibilities than to be expecting sunshine and roses and get open wounds and necrosis. I'm with the OP on the satin jammies--huge help in my moving in bed when my back is killing me.
