I was instructed by my surgeon to only take my binder off for showers, once dried to put right back on. I can say for me I LOVE my binder. Being out of it just from the time it takes to shower and dry, is killer on me! I am usually yelling for my husband to come put me back in it, as tight as he can! I too feel like a stuffed sausage, but am more comfortable with it on. If your surgeon is fine with it and you need the break, and it doesn't cause you any discomfort than take the break. Just make sure you put it back on.

LOL U r right cause I feel secure in mines, I am still not allowed showers. But once it happens I will wash this binder and then put it right back on. I will have to buy an undergarment wasit cincher to replace this one.
