I'm home, surgery went well. Dr. said I did good. I'm just in so much pain. It hurts to stand or walk for even short periods of time. I hope the pain level gets better. I'm having moments where I really regret it, but I know it will get better. Any feedback on how long I'm gonna be misreable?

Yeah, taking them religiously. I'm on an antibiotic and liquid Lortab. I have been trying to eat but cant so, i try to eat jello and yogurt. I get up every couple of hours to walk around a bit but only for a few minutes at a time. When I do walk around I walk hunched over which is how I'm supposed to walk. I know this week is going to be hard, thanks for the support.

I seriously HURT for the first 3 days, days 4 & 5 were a BIT better.  I stayed on the pain meds religiously.  I had serious doubts about what I had done to myself.  Just hang in there.  Each day here out WILL get better & be worth it.

Thanks Cyndi,

I appreciate the response. I'll just be really careful, i know not to overdo anything and that I need to take my meds at the designated times. I have not been hungry at all, as a matter of fact I have eaten but its only been yogurt or jell-o. Do you have any suggestions on what types of foods I should stick to while recovering?

Thanks, I'm hanging in there. How long will it be before I am able to do the things I was able to do before, like lifting, crouching, kneeling, stooping, stuff like that? Will it be weeks, months, or more?

I'm 7 weeks out and can now bend over, crouch down, etc. I'm still not lifting anything heavy, but I'm pretty much back to normal with everyday things. Hang in there!!

Wow, 7 weeks out. How are you feeling? Do you still have any pain? I have to go back to work after 5 weeks so Im just hoping not too much pain, I know there will be some stiffness and swelling still, but week 6 will be an easy week for me I'm only working 3 of those days then have 4 days off. Thanks for the reply.
