I was thrilled when I woke up today to see my belly button was not swollen shut, so I knew my swelling was going down. I took my measurements and my waist is now back down to what is was pre-op. Yay!! Right after my lbl my waist was 4 inches larger. Just wanted to give some of you early-outs hope. I was terrified I'd end up bigger than I was pre-op!!

Now I would love to lose another inch, but will be OK, if I do not.

I  Dr.LoMonaco!! He is a miracle worker.

Thanks for the encouraging news .  Just when I think its gone I shrink alittle more then the swelling comes back lol.  So I guess I just have to surrender to time lol.

I am so happy for you.  I just knew you would be smaller soon.

thats good to know I am 5 weeks out tommorrow and I have noticed it is getting better.  Thank god my belly button did not swell.  I have more swelling in the upper part of the belly.  I am feeling more like myself everyday. But I still get tired, not as much but when does that get better.

My belly button really does not "swell" except that it usually looks like a slit in the morning and not very round. During the day I tape a bead in there to round it out. This morning it still looked rounded even though I did not sleep with my bead in. I love my new belly button!!

Thanks for posting!
Gives me hope.

My upper belly is sooo swollen while my lower is very flat.

Looks awful...in my opinion.

Partner says I look great.

(I'm not convinced.)

Now that you guys mention it, I swell in the upper abd also and that is strange because the incision is lower.  I get tight and very uncomfortable.

I still see myself as thick from the sides when hubby and everyone else says I am crazy.  I have body dysphorphic issues.  I am only 20-months post DS down 185 and I wanna lose approx 30-40 more so I can't see the real me yet.

Thanks, Lee!! It not "tiny", but I do think it's "average" now.
