home and SORE
well I got home last night and I am hurting like heck. I am having a hard time finding a good way of getting up and down from the recliner. Also, I am afraid of tearing something apart. When does it get better? I am already saying this pain better be worth it all lol. Will update later and I just wanted to thank you all for all the help and info you have given me.

Maybe try the bed with lots of pillows? I know I could not get in and out of a recliner for weeks without help. Thankfully my mom had an adjustable bed. I thought I was doing better by the 3 week mark, but then split my incision on week 4. Ouch!!

I feel your pain! For me (TT/LBL 4 wks ago) it was the worst in the very beginning and gradually gets better every day. I second the motion of using lots of pillows.
For me it was easier to lay on the sofa b/c it's lower than the bed and you have the arms to help prop you up. It will get better! And at 4 wks I can tell you I haven't seen a flat stomach since I was a teenager. It's really unbelieveable. Try to rest as much as possible - eat lots of chicken soup and take the pain meds!
