Thanks, I know I guess I expect too much so early. I know its a major surgery and maybe I'm not being realistic about it. I'm not doing anything that would be considered too much, but I still ant to feel back to normal. Sorry you haven't been feeling good either. Hope you feel better.

I am only 3 days out so I have zero experience, lol! However, my surgeon did tell me that I could expect some swelling up to a year after surgery!

So thankful for my DS! 1/20/2012 - SW 290/CW 155 - 1 year to lose, 1.5 years and counting maintaining!

Yeah, oh well. I would hate to wait a year to feel back to normal but it was totally worth it, I feel a lot better about myself and for me physically, its the best thing I ever could have done. Hope your recovery goes well. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks! Same to you! At only 3 days out I am LOVING it so far! So if some swelling is all I have to deal with it, I will take it compared to flapping skin when I run!  lol

I am 4.5 months post plastics and  still have a lot of swelling at  times and particularly by the end of the day.  My plastic surgeon told me to expect this, particularly with the TT, for up to a year.  I have no pain, never  did, but the swelling is a constant issue.

Yesterday and today were the worst its been since getting the surgery. I feel bloated and I can see the swelling right above the incision line. I feel like...blahhhh! I hate it. I want the swelling to go away. Oh well 1 year, huh? Ok well I know its only been three months and maybe I'm expecting too much too soon. I just wanted to make sure it was normal. Thanks.

OmGosh!  That is exactly where I get my swelling - abover the incision up into my lower chest.  It is the most uncomfortable at the incision line.  The swelling develops about an hour after I get up and gets worse as the day goes on.  The swelling even feels really hard.  I hate it because I  want it gone so that my tummy is as flat all the time as it is first thing in the morning.  I'm so impatient.  LOL.  Hang in there - we have quite a few months to go  yet before the swelling becomes a non-issue.

Arggg my swelling is really bad tonight. It may have been aggravated because I just finished working out a little. It is really gonna suck if it is like this for the next few months.
