1 week out**update

Well, I am 1 week out and drains suck!  I had surgery last Thursday, was out of the hospital Friday and went back to work yesterday.  Everyone thought I was crazy to be at work but it feels great to be here.  I am a do it yourself kind of guy so all the time off at home with restrictions to not be able to do anything excep****ch TV and some light cleaning, was driving me crazy.  The kids were off to VBS and my wife was working so I was sitting there alone with the TV for several days.  Anyway, I have explained before that my Panniculectomy turned into a fleur di li with admoninalplasty and the excision of skin at tthe chest is a breast reduction/lift, no more man boobs.  I had 4 drains, no problems with those until about Sunday, one of my lower ones was getting pulled on sometimes when I got out of a chair, so by Tuesday it was very sore.  It was borderline to pull so I pulled it, very much better now.  I pulled 2 others correctly and now this last one had always had a darker color but is looking good now, maybe another day.  I am pleased so far with the results, he said he will fix the love handles when he does the thighs and arms so he can flip me over.  So my fleur di li will end up and full lower lift, I think.  I hope so because now paints won't fit well with a flat belly and big love handles.  I don't want to complain yet.  I would also like to know about the earlier post of numbness.  I have alot of bruising, which is going away, and several areas that are numb.  One nipple is normal feeling and the other is at 20% feeling.  I have my 1st doctor vist next Thursday, 2 weeks after surgery, I hope I will have some questions and answers at that time.  Thanks to everyone that helped me prepare and good luck to those with surgeries coming up.

I just had a boob lift and scar revision and left inguinal hernia repair. I thought I would have drains but instead I had a sterile "tourniquet" in my chest cavity. My surgery was M and I was released this morning. I'm swollen and sore and bruised but I can walk. I remember well after my panniculectomy not being able to stand up straight and my lower back hurting me. Yesterday was my pain from hell day. But my 1st clinic apptmt is on S.
My panni was last August and I still at times have a numbness in my left thigh and itch but when I scratch I cannot feel that it dies anything. It is one of the side effects we sometimes can get.
You are very brave and strong to go back to work even if your bored at home.

I will warn you to not do too much.  I over did it after my TT (have kids and had no help) and developed a seroma that had to be drained several times.

I am trying to becareful, I work at a desk job and my chair at work is more comfortable that at home.  Thanks for the input
