I was also able to have Boost Protein shakes or Ensure Protein shakes. Believe you are not going to be hungry. Instead of broth get some cream of mushroom soup and strain so that you just get the soup. This is a lot thicker then broth and will taste a lot better. Good luck with your surgery.

I am not to start the protein shakes until Phase 2.

Wow not protein. I guess every doctor has a specific diet to follow. However protein was emphasized by my surgical group as the most important item to have. I did a lot of protein but always felt I was not get the 60 grams I needed. I am doing very well i at at 190 and my blood work has improved so much that I am going to get off the diabetes and high blood pressure meds. If I had this do all over again I would have done it sooner.

I have lost about 45 lbs since my surgery on May 27. I feel better and look good too. Keep in touch and let me know how things go for you.

Yes, for the first 3-4 days it is strictly liquids, then I start adding protein.

You are doing great!

Can't wait until Monday!
