Is there a standard amount a time you take off from work?

I was just wondering if their was a certain amount of time that should be taken off for the surgery........

I took 10 days off. I would have been ok to go back after about 4 days, but i do have a desk job. I took the whole 10 days because i had a lot of vacation and wanted the break.

i had my srgery on tuesday and was back at work on monday......it all depends on what you do and how you feel.....everyone is different..i'm pretty active .good luck to you!

I took off 3 weeks.  It was covered under my short term disibility at work.  I probably only really needed about a week.
