How many calories should we be eating at 4 months post-op?????
Elesha;
I was never given calorie goals, so I didn't count them. I counted grams of protein and ounces of water. As long as I got my 70+g of protein/day and 100+ oz of water and I was losing weight, I didn't rock the boat. If my weight loss slowed or stopped, I'd bump the protein up to 80-95g and that worked.

253 / 158 / 137
I use Profect (www.protica.com) which is 3 oz., 25g of protein, 0g fat, 0g carbs. I also use the Fit365 protein (www.fit365.com) which is 4-8 oz. (depending on how much liquid you mix in) and is 160 cal and I don't have all the other stats off the top of my head.
Yeah, right now, I'm not really able to imagine 137 lbs. either. I'm trying to figure out where another 21 lbs. is going to come off of me, but I also know that I'll get there. Thanks for the hair compliment.
Blessings,
Jennifer
Judy;
Because post-op RNYs no longer have a pyloric valve, it's impossible for liquids to stretch our pouches. Liquids just pass through. I drink all day except for the while I'm eating and the 1/2 hour before and after. I'm awake about 17-18 hours/day, so I guess not including about 4.5 hours a day when I'm eating or the hour around the eating occasion. I drink about 10 oz. an hour. It's not that much really.

Jennifer
My surgeon said not to worry about that but to concentrate on getting in the protein and the fluid.
I put everything into www.fitday.com though to keep track. It seems that I average about 700-800 calories a day. With 75 grams of protein as an average.
Hope that helps.
Regards and hugs,
Ronna
