I am hopeing someone here can help - I am 10 weeks out. I am still having a hard time eating. There are still so very few items I can eat and heaven forbid one of them makes me sick I end up reverting back to the puree portion of the process. I am so limited in what I eat and then the getting sick I end up not eating all meals. Then it comes to the vitamins. If I maange to get them all down - which sometimes take a 3-4 hour process along with my other meds I am so full I can not eat. I seem to have this feeling a nasea (sp) most of the time. So with all of this happening, I have not lost weight in the past 1-1/2 weeks, my energy level is so low and I am becoming very discouraged. I was doing great in the begining. I had my moments of having to find what I could eat and what worked best. But it seems the farther through this process i am going, the harder it is becoming. I am hoping somone has some suggestions - I am feeling like I am pretty mcuh alone in this right now, because family does not seem to know how to help me right now. They have not gone through this and are kind of at a loss. Anyhow, any help or suggestions woudl be greatly appreciated.... Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi..I would suggest if you are having trouble eating first talk to your Dr. and/or start all over from the beginning..Did you have these problems then?? I know it may seem hard but in the long run it will all work out ..Good luck

Besides contacting the Dr I would keep a food journal - is it something specific making you sick? Have you maybe become lactose intolerant?? Maybe this can help you narrow down if there is a culprit causing all this trouble!

I would talk to your doctor. Perhaps he can suggest a change in your vitamins. What are you taking? Also let him know about the problem with eating. There may be something wrong here. I take Optisource Multi they are chewable and go down easy, as well as an iron supplement and that's it.

My surgery buddy is having the same problem as you, and our dr said that she may have a stricture, and may need to have the opening stretched a little. He told her that the longer she waits to contact him the harder it could be to strech. CONTACT YOUR DR IMMEDIATELY!
