SHOE SIZE

Hello All, I ran into my Aunt today, who I just found out she has RNY about a year ago and lost 130 pounds. We met after work at Starbucks and she shared her story with me, not only did she loose tons of weight and went done 8 pant sizes, she said she went down 3 shoe sizes. Has this happened to anyone post op. Personally I wear a size 11 in shoes and have the hardest time finding anything cute, so if this is true that would be a dream come true. I WISH TO HAVE SMALLER FEET

My mom lost 150 lbs. with her WLS and lost 2 shoe sizes. I lost 120 lbs. with mine and one shoe size. You may not lose 3 sizes, but it is pretty common for your feet to get smaller.

Most do lose some size in their feet, just because we DO have fat in our feet.  I've lost a shoe size and a half. 

I went down a size and a half so far as well as width.  I no longer have to shop for shoes in a specialty store for large and x-wide feet... Hugs...jenna

I went from a 10W to an 8 (I lost a little over 100lbs).  And it's much more fun to go shoe shopping now!

Yep I lost 1 whole size from a 8 to a 7. 

I am three months out and have already lost a shoe size!  It is weird!

Yup, they do get smaller - when I lost 90 pounds back in 2003 my shoes went down in width, and I lost a good size/size and a 1/2 as well. I was 230 at my lowest...  If I get any smaller feet though I will have a problem - I'm already in a size 7, with 175 pounds left to lose!!!!!!  I don't want to have to shop in the kids section!!!

I haven't experienced this, but I've heard from other postops that shoe sizes can change. I kinda hope not, I don't really have many clothes that fit so i take comfort in at least having awesome shoes!
