1) 134 pounds.  That is my surgeon's goal weight for me.  I actually was aiming for something higher - 140-150.  I never thought I'd hit 134. 2) 23 months out 3) Yes, I am at goal (yay!) 4) My surgeon picked it for me.  That puts me kind of in the middle for my height/weight. 5) I am not losing now.  I bounce up and down 2 pounds.  I did recently lose 11 pounds after plastic surgery, which is actually how I finally reached my goal weight.

1) What is/was your goal weight? 145 (although when I first started thinking about the possibilities of post-RNY weight, I had this dream of being 125, which -- given my body type even when I was young and the many years of obesity -- is just NOT realistic.) 2) How far out are you? I am almost 10 months out 3) Are you at or below goal?  (If no, how far are you from goal?) I am just under 45 pounds from goal (but I have a panni that the PS estimates weighs 20 pounds being removed next month) 4) How was your goal weight determined? combination of input from my PCP, the stupid BMI chart, and my own recollections of previous weights and how I felt/looked at those weights 5) What is your current rate of lose (in pounds) per week or month? 1.5 - 2 pounds per week Lora

14 years out; 190 pounds lost, 165 pound loss maintained

1)  149.   2)  8 months out 3)  I am at goal. 4)  My original goal was 135...a number I plucked out of the air.  A few months ago, my Dr convinced me that would be too small, especially taking into account the extra skin, etc.  So we adjusted to 150 (I made it 149, because that would get my BMI in the normal range.) 5)  I am maintaining now.  The last few months I slowed down to about 2-3 pounds a month.

Hi Wendy, 1. My original goal for myself, made by myself was 115 pounds (I am 5'1"), however when I reached 120 pounds, my husband and daughter sat me down and said far enough, I thought long and hard and noticed that I was feeling too many bony areas and decided to try and maintain at 120pounds.  My primary doctor was in agreement that at 120 pounds I looked healthy and any more weight loss and I would look too small.  Which has been going well so far. Sorry I guess I answered all your questions at one time. I will say that in my head and heart 115 pounds was my original goal and I still play with the thought but...I trust my husband and daughter's opinion.  I would like a tummy tuck and when that happens I would probably be at my original goal of 115 or a little less.  I worry about gaining but I make sure I keep up my Curves 5-6 days a week and walk all the time.  I watch what I eat, although I have been having a lot of trouble with low blood sugars so that throws a wrench in things at times, because when your sugar is 46 you have no option but to eat something with sugar.  Oh, well...I am very happy with the WLS and wished I had done it much sooner.I feel like a kid again.
