Wendys Chili
I eat it every day...have a small amount. I add my own cheese to it. I also add their crackers (I know I shouldn't). The beef is good for protein and iron. The beans are good for protein and fiber. After about a month (post RNY) I would get some and test it on the pouch. Try a small amount and see how the pouch feels about it. If it doesn't like it...wait a month or two and try it again...the pouch may be more open to it at that time. Brian PS Beef is one of the harder thing to digest. Some people may never be able to handle it again. Most handle it just fine. Pork, lamb, and things like deer can be very hard to digest many RNYers have said.
Cabin,
Instead of the crackers that come with the chili, try Genisoy's Smart Heart soy crackers. They work really well for oyster crackers substitutes. They also have protein in them.

I've been on the boards over a year and I've heard pretty good luck with Wendy's chili. It has enough liquid in it that it slides through and gives good protein levels (small container has 220 cals and 17 grams of protein). When you introduce it, start with a very small amount and build up your successes as with all new foods. Remember...every batch has been simmered a minimum of 4 hours.
