Wii fitness - anyone using one?
Hi Jill,
I use the Wii fit. I just started it. And I love it! It got my heart pumping, and they have different options you can use, like yoga, strength training, and cardio.

Hello
I have a Wii Fit and I love it. As you use the Wii Fit you "unlock" new exercises. Some say they can't get their heart rate up, and what I say is that you must be open to doing reps of the exercises, as they only last from 2 mins to 5 mins (it helps that they are short, full of music, and fast moving. You won't get bored). I will do 30 mins of the aerobic exercises and then move on to the yoga or balance work. Some days I will also put in the disk of sports and "play" tennis for another 15 mins. I get a really good work out from this.
I also know that there is a new Jillian Michaels fitness Ultimatum is coming out this month. But I don't know anything about this one, but you can watch a demo on amazon.com

i'm still very gym-phobic, so the wii fit it is! i too do a lot of repition - but i don't get bored even tho i'm still only aerobic only. hopefully i'll be able to start strength training on the 4th. but until then, i do enjoy the aerobics they have on there - even the dreaded 22 min "island lap" run - which i march to.
I love my Wii Fit! It really works for me (and my home recumbent bike) to work out at home before I start my day. I used to go to the gym, and probably will again, but getting sweaty and showering BEFORE I leave the house works so much better for me.
The only thing I hate about the Wii Fit is the groan that it makes when I get on the 'scale" LOL! Sad, but true!!

I love my Wii fit. My husband bought it for me in a bundle set with Wii Fit and Wii Sport for my birthday earlier this month...I love it. I do a variety of modules on it. I start with Yoga (some of which can be pretty hard but the breathing, the half moon and warrior are pretty good for my abs).
Then I go to the strength training and do twists for my middle. I want to do more of this but I'm skeerd to try something too strenuous.
Then I go to the aerobics and do Hula Hoop..I'm a champ on that. I do alittle of the stair step and the Super Hula Hoop (channeling my inner 70's child, I guess. LOL).
Then I do the balance stuff..The soccer (I get knocked in the head with shoes every time!) and the down hill skiing and the snow board..
My favorite is the Body Testing cuz I got my Fit Age down to 36 once..I've been up to 56 a couple of times but it keeps track of my weight and my progress and chews me out (sort of) when I skip a couple of days.. I've only had it about 31 days but I'm really happy with it.

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
