If I had to deal with kids all day, plus step kids (I don't like kids in general so you're a bigger person than I'll ever be) --  plus ghost poop (whatever the heck that is, but is sounds scary since I don't like ghosts) ... I'd be looking for a gas oven too!!!

Go wring the surgeon's neck and force him to deal with you and your liver and enzymes and ghost poop.  I have a feeling you can be very persuasive when you need to be.   We don't want a sick Shari... we like it when she's healthy.

As for the boss and unions and kiddies... don't you have spring break coming up soon?  Hopefully you can check them off your list for a week or so.

Hope your day gets better and you get to kick some asses for stress relief.   Holler if you need me to hold anyone for you while you beat 'em down.

Pam

Shari:

I am not having a good MH day today, but my day is going much better than yours, so all I can offer is one of these electronic hugs (well, and a pat on the fanny, if you'd like that).  Take care, dear friend.

Shari,
No words of wisdom. I am having a ****ty few days myself. I need to come up with a 1000 bucks I don't have. It sucks.

Healing vibes are coming your way. INSIST on answers to your medical issue.

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

If I say it was the donut and cake, do you promise to come and hit me with a clue by four?  Because I think you need a vacation away from the stress and you are more than welcomed to come hang out with me.  I'll take my beating and then we can head out for a Girls Night Out.  I promise you can eat what you want, rant about what you rant about and you will fall off no pedestal I might have put you on because I know you are Shari and you are entitled to some bad days and some good times.  Here's to wishing you have less bad days than you do good times!

I'm sorry to hear that you are having so many difficulties.  You give so much to everyone on this board that I can only imagine that you are equally (or more so) giving of yourself to others in your life.

You strike me as a very strong person.  That is both a gift and a problem: a gift because you can, and you will, overcome trials thrown at you; a problem because those who are weaker, latch onto strong people to do for them what they cannot (or will not) do for themselves.  Only you can know who is draining you (if they're draining you) and take action to cut it off if so.  Sometimes you need to save your strength for yourself.

I have no advice to offer (not a parent, single, no medical background, don't have to deal with kids) - just encouragement.

You've pulled yourself through so much, just keep going!  Rant, rave and vent here... the least we can do for all you've done for us is to listen and give you the cyberspace shoulder to cry on.

I don't know what to tell you Shari, but I do hope things get better.  Just  slap a couple of your docs upside the head and say look here dumbass, somethings wrong!  Figure it out!

I do hate that you life is sucking but just know that I like reading most of your posts because you crack me up.

I read your posts and hang on to your advise and your recipes, all are awesome.

Many people here cling on to your every word, so when you are down, they to are down and feeling your current mood.

I wish I could take some of the load off of you but there is no way to do that. I am with you in spirit and want you to spring back ASAP.

Please take care and feel better soon, you are such an inspiration to OH.

My bet?  You be stressed.  Duh, right?

My tummy and basically entire digestive system hates me when I'm stressed.  Can't poop, whi*****reases my stress, which causes more poop problems, which causes more stress.  Terrible poop cycle.

Vitalady recommends milk thistle to support healthy liver function and lower liver enzymes.  In my personal experience, which is worth basically nothing, my liver enzymes did return to normal between my 6 month and 12 month labs last year after I added milk thistle.  Sure, totally coulda been a coinkydink, but milk thistle burps are kinda ucky, so I'll just tell myself they were worth it.

Could just be random hormonal chit too...dadgum womanhood and bloating and whatnot.

Feel better, m'dear.  PM if you wanna chat :)

First ((((HUGS))))
Secondly - somewhere I read that stress causes weight gain - stress, specially prolonged may cause hormonal imbalance: excessive cortisol, estrogen, thyroid.
hormonal imbalances may case water retention.  Significant.

Rest and relaxation are the key to weight loss.  - but who has the time... I do not... neither do you.

Hormonal imbalance may also cause elevated liver enzymes - liver is the one who has to break them down, and make them harmless..

If the above are the reasons - the only thing you can do is to try to relax (meditation, yoga, massage, acupuncture, etc.) take some herbs (tea, tincture - not a pill - pill will stress the liver even more... ) to support your adrenal glands and liver function.....

Good luck...
