My mistake.  I believed the issues you wrote about came from family and significant other relationships.

I serve the public in my field and must always be available and capable to handle their needs, concerns and issues.  If I want a paycheck and want to earn it, I must do the job.

When it comes to family relationships that lean heavily on the strong members who assimilate the 'to-do' without thinking of the personal impact on themselves are the genre of issues I spoke of in my post.

I am very sorry I totally misunderstood your post.  I did not mean to be disrespectful of you or your career.

And I want make that mistake again.

No, home issues are part of the deal-- the point is that i really can't take care of myself at work--- it's my job to watch everyone else's back at the moment and it's kind of lawless country. :(

Are your legs at all more swollen than they have been?  That might account for some of the weight...

We all go through times where life just plain sucks... I'm sorry it's your turn (but, honestly, it's nice to hear that other people are struggling, too, sometimes).  I agree that you should ask your PCP (or your surgeon if you ever get a call back {grrr}) for a referral to a specialist because it does sound as if something is wrong.

Hang in there.

I have a hard time gauging more or less swollen, I guess I ought to measure daily. They're very big and puffy *every* day! I really figured after a big BM and megaexercise if anything I'd be down a little...but wham!  AGH!

Shari,

This all sucks epicly, and I'm sorry to hear so much **** i****ting at once.

It sucks epicly when something is wrong with your body and your docs ignore you or act like they don't know what to do.

I hope you get to the bottom of this quickly, and get whatever treatment you need. I will be thinking of you.

Shari, sorry to hear that you're stressed so badly right now.  It sounds like a lot of work stress too, is there any way you can ask for more help with the union job?  I'm sure that adds a lot to your plate.

Anyways, this might be a really stupid suggestion,  but is there any chance your scale might be broken/need new batteries?

I hope you get some answers, there's nothing worse than a doctor not taking you seriously.  Ugh.

Shari,
I am not going to blow sunshine at all. Sounds like life really sucks for you right now. I understand your anger and frustration. Sometimes it seems that the same people get all of the complications and bad luck. I am sorry that right now, you are one of those people.
As for the out of control kids.......They come from the rude, out of control adults I deal with every day. What ever happened to courtesy, manners and appropriate social behavior?

Sorry you are having such a hard time. Stay away from ovens.

I had my Gall Bladder removed in 2002(?) . A year later I began getting sick to my stomach , had dark urine & light colored BM . Ended up being a blocked bile duct . A year after I had my GB removed ! I didn't see whether your urine was dark , or not . Something to think about .

You know i can empathize with the labor/union issues regarding work. The situation is so gloom and doom it's depressing as hell. With the school board considering that the possibility of raises in future years being more important than serving the needs of the students and keeping class sizes down, we're permanently screwed.

I don't know if my doc has been taking liver enzyme readings. Doubt I'd notice if they were elevated unless they were off the scale. I can relate to feeling like being at the end of my rope. I've been an apathetic mess, taking meds to curb nausea/dizziness, other meds to act as uppers since the nausea/dizziness meds make me sleepy, other meds for pain, and others to counteract the upper-effect of pain killers, so that I can sleep at night. Hard to function in a drugged stupor.

compared to the problems you're going through, however, mine are pretty minor. I'm hoping you get a freaking doctor who can listen to your concerns, run the necessary tests to ensure that he/she can determine what the freak is going on, and then go to the root of the problem and CURE it, rather than putzing around scratching their butt.

My thoughts are with you, and I hope you get answers soon!

Got no advice except to unleash your inner ***** on whatever doctor tries to fob you off with excuses ever again.  And if you need help unleashing said ***** or if your inner ***** is busy and you wanna borrow mine, I'll be happy to come along to your appointment and let loose the female hounds of war on whomever.  'Kay?

I hope somebody can find the problem and keep it from happening ever again, because you've been through enough, dammit.
