Radom Poll o' the Week
This one is easy. Top five favorite movies of all time. And by favorite movies I mean the movie you could very well watch every single time it comes on. The movie where your kid or hubby goes “not that movie again!" Yeah. That movie.
As always, if you have more or less, feel free to chime in wherever your preferences land.

For me it would be the following:
Dirty Dancing
Steel Magnolias
The Color Purple
The Notebook
Ummmm…those are the only ones that fit that specific criteria. I watch Dirty Dancing EVERY time I see it on TV as I do with Steel Magnolias. I wore out my Color Purple DVD and I have the Notebook permanent saved on my Tivo (that would be under the “delete and you may find yourself face to face with a sledgehammer" setting).

Like Nik # 1 is
Dirty Dancing
Little Women (1998 version)
The Shawshank Redemption
Clue
The Quiet Man (John Wayne's best movie )
ETA, I think the new Star Trek will eventually make this list but since I haven't been able to re-watch it yet, I'm not sure :)
#1: The Princess Bride (for the sheer enjoyment factor - watch it every time its on)
#2: Four Weddings and a Funeral
#3: The Dish (Aussie movie - one of the loveliest, most gently inspiring movies I've ever seen - oh and it's funny too!)
#4: Any of the Lord of the Rings series
#5: Gladiator (I'll be a Russell Crowe fan till the day I die)
These are not necessarily the best movies I've seen (that would be Schindler's List and The Shawshank Redemption) - but these are the movies I will always watch when they come on. The others I have to be in the mood for.
