OT: Hey, do you have your flag up?

Most of the nation is having flags hung at "half staff" for the remembrance of Sept 11th...I went out in the pouring down rain to hang my flag!

I know it's not proper to hang a flag in the rain but I just couldn't let this day go unrecognized at our home.

Yep, it stays up all the time. DH lowers it when he is supposed to and puts it back up after.  We don't bring it in though, it stays up 365.

I also read in the paper that this is the first year since 9/11 that the anniversary falls on a Friday.  As a result, thousands of schools across the nation have memorial services scheduled for tonight's football games.

Do you all remember on 9/11, when the members of Congress just, on the spur of the moment....burst into song with "God Bless America"?  Damn....where is that feeling today?  Now we have jackasses trying to shout down the President while he speaks to the Congress and a nation.  Forget about who is the president....its the office....not the person you tool!

And I love the CA State Assemblyman that had to resign this week.  Hey, I'm all for a little playing around.....and spanking can be fun if that's your thing.  Just don't talk about it on tape.....MORON!
