I never even thought of having to wear one of these. Is this common? Do all of you wear them? I am having my surgery on Wednesday and am pouring over every piece of info I can find, but never even thought of wearing a medical ID.

I did not even think about the bracelet until someone posted info here. Mine has mu full name and says No NG tubes, NSAIDS, Allergy to Morphine and my ICE contact = DH's cell #.
