How long does it take you to eat?

I prefer to eat fast because then I get full fast and stop. If I eat too slow I can and do eat a lot more. To each his own, I say.

15-30mins depending on what I'm eating, and if I'm focusing on just food or doing other things as well.

I think after your far enough out from surgery going over 30mins could be just as dangerous as eating too quickly, but in another way. It makes it easy to add in more calories that you might not need or want. I think anything over 30mins is too long, at least for me at 8months post op.

That makes sense.  But if we are measuring and sticking to some type of portion control method then we shouldn't be getting that much more in.  But, you're right, because the longer I sit to eat....the more Iikely I am to nibble a little bit more.  This can be especially harmful to the waist if you're eating out and having a 'social' hour moment.

Thanks.
