Im sorry you are having problems with the protein.  So far mine all taste good and not having issues with it.  Do you have any of the unflavored proteins that you can add to any of your favorite drinks?

My sugar free popsicles are 1.45 fluid oz (per the box).  I can't imagine that changes a whole lot between brands.

good luck and hang in there!

I am on my pre-op liquid diet. I get tired of the sweet protein by the end of the day so I have the Unjury chicken flavored protein. It  tastes really good. I also got some Oh Yeah protein shakes fron GNC and they are wonderful. Good luck.

I guess I am strange. I am loving my protein drinks. I have been going on Bariatric Foodie and getting inspiration. I love their salted caramel hot cocoa. My breakfast lately has been their mocha cheesecake drink. I have a collection of sugar free syrups and sugar free pudding and the combinations are endless. Last night I made a hot cinnabon roll drink. Check them out.

I found putting a little fruit in shake helps.

I am two weeks out tomorrow and I've found that the only protein drink I can stand is Isopure. It's like koolaid with a bit of an aftertaste. Not bad considering I hate the milk like drinks. It has all kinds of flavors too. I get mine at GNC but I'm thinking of ordering online next time. Grape is my favorite with blue raspberry coming in a close 2nd.

I cannot drink any of the protein SHAKE type drinks!  Ugh!  I love the Protidiet concentrated drinks...especially the grape!  I mix with Propel water and the flavor is delicious without being too overwhelming!  Try it!  Make sure you get the CONCENTRATE and not the powder!  Personally, I don't want any drink I have to mix a powder up!

Best of luck to you!

I was exactly the same way with the protein drinks.  I had found one preop that I thought I could live with but post op was a different story.........  The only way I can drink protein drinks is, mix 1/2 a scoop of powder with 1 cup of milk add ice and shake up.  I let is sit for a few minutes before drinking to be sure it is completely dissolved.  It ends up being about 20 grams of protein when added to the milk. I use syntrax vanilla, it mixes completely and is the consistancy of milk however, protein drinks are very individual when it comes to flavor.  As for the popsicles......they were the only thing that kept me going in the beginning the actual amount when melted is about half of the weight just like ice.  Hope this helps..........Sherri

Thanks to all for the advice. I am just getting discouraged and dont want to get sick. I am having my mom take me to the grocery store and seek out some alternatives. I will try the gnc unflavored. I have the unjury unflavored but it still had the smell. I swear if a bear farted in the woods 10 miles away I would smell it. LOL. Sorry for the picture. You get the idea though. I am going to look for some of the liquid protein concentrate to mix with flavor water. I thought I would love the chocoalte and the chicken thing but am grossed out right now by both.

My observation of the weekend. There are too many food commercials on tv. You are inundated and dont even realize it.
