papaya enzyme question...

I finally got some papaya enzyme the other day.  I am almost three years out and have a lot of problems with food getting stuck.  I had that feeling the other day from a chicken hot dish, took 3 tablets and felt almost immediately better.  It was amazing!  Anyway, for those of you that use this, do you take it on a daily basis as a supplement or only when you need it for that 'stuck' feeling?

Love Papaya.  Was lucky enough to have known about it pre-op because Mom gave it to me when I was a kid. Enzyme in it digests the food, in turn helping you breakdown and digest the food.

Anyway, I only take it when I feel I have something stuck or I have an overfull feeling going on.

Just went and bought a bottle at GNC today.  I am so glad I read about them on here or I would have never known.

I usually only use it if I end up having a heavy dense meal or if I feel after eating that really full feeling. Most days I don't use it at all. It really helps though when you are feeling like the food was too much or just to heavy.

When I had my VBG back in 1989 I sure wish that I had known about papaya enzyme. Would have saved me from a lot of pain and suffering for no reason.

I have not yet purchased it. I am always concerned about taste because I waste so much money on things that sound great but if I think it tastes gross I will NOT use it.

Papaya is great - I also keep a little baggie with some tablets in my purse in case I get that feeling when out...

I also find that if I get pain for no food reason - just a sore pouch - I take papaya and few sips of water and voila

Are these chewable papaya?  I used to take them when I was younger but didn't know I might want/need them after surgery

I am 3.5 years out and ahve never had anything get stuck, but sometimes certain cuts of beef and pork don't seem to digest as well as otehr things, so i take some only when I eat those items.

I love papaya but only use it when I feel over full or eat something I think might disagree - like dense stuff. It saves my life and I think it tastes like baby aspirin.
