Hmmm... maybe follow the "washcloth" bread with some of the "chocolate Pepto Bismol" protein shake.... {shudder}
You may very well be right about using the gluten to get extra protein in there. I eat bread so rarely that I just get one that I actually like... when you only eat a piece at a time, even the occasional piece of old-fashioned, "smooshy" Wonder bread isn't a disaster. Mmmm.... PB&J on Wonder bread.... ;)

See…wheat bread has always been an easier sell than white. White bread is too mushy. I don’t like that. I like a hearty bread that is slightly chewy (not quite as chewy as the high gluten boys, just a little resistance to the old jaws is nice).
Oddly enough I don’t like peanut butter on bread anymore! But give me a caramel corn rice cake OR a big bowl of oatmeal and me and my PB are ready to go to town!
