PROTEIN SHAKES IDEAS THAT DON'T INCLUDE MILK
I never used milk in shakes as I'm lactose intolerant. I have whey protein blend from Costco and mix in sugar-free syrup on occasion, sugar-free almond milk or sometimes a splash of half-n-half. Still get tummy disturbance from that if I forget to take lactaid tabs. The powders are fine just mixed with water.
I'm waiting on some samples from Vitalady for the more fruit-flavored powders b/c the chocolate/vanilla gets a bit old. However, don't plan on mixing fruit in any as it just adds calories and carbs!

4 oz Greek yogurt, 4 oz orange juice (or orange crystal lite), a little vanilla protein powder and a handful of ice. Like a dreamsicle.
4 oz Greek yogurt, 4 oz pineapple juice (if you don't dump on it), and handful of frozen pineapple and a couple pumps of sugar free coconut syrup. Pina colada.
Hot chocolate with chocolate protein powder.
Or decaf coffe with chocolate protein powder for a mocha drink.

I always make shakes with Greek yogurt and fruit... frozen fruit. bananas add a nice creaminess when frozen - way better then ice that is crunchy. I always freeze all my fruit first as well.
I would skip the juice and use greek yogurt - sweetener of choice (I like splenda) vanilla protein powder and some water.
(I use milk or soy milk but I do it for protein - I would not bother with the juice)
(honestly I stick about frozen banana in all my shakes) I add any combination of these:
Banana (I freeze them when they strat to get all brown and no longer yummy to eat fresh)
mixed berry (buy the frozen stawberry blueberry rasberry mix)
Strawberry
blueberry
peach
Pineapple
Mango (really yummy with the pineapple and banana)
