surgery tomorrow - job loss
I decided to go ahead and have surgery tomorrow. I've got 60 days worth of health insurance so I might as well do it. I'll be able to draw unemployment by the time I have to go for follow up visits.
The good thing about this whole job loss thing is that I'm not too too freaked out about the surgery. I imagine I'll freak in the morning but right now, I'm numb. I've got to figure out how to deal with my horses but so far, I think I've got them taken care of.
I'm hoping to start hitting the job search hard in about a month. I figure I might be able to relocate by then. I'm an engineer and those type jobs are hard to find around here.
Wish me luck!!
What does onederland mean? Is it when you get below 200lbs or when you've lost 100lbs?

Good luck on both your surgery and your job hunt! And if you need to relocate, may I suggest you look at Huntsville, Alabama. It has the one of the highest percentage of engineers in the population of any city in the country and there is still a lot of hiring going on here. I don't know what part of Kentucky you're from, but it's not that far away from locations in the western part of the state.
I am so glad you decided to move ahead with the surgery. As I said before, you have no clue if your next job will have a weight loss surgery exclusion. I had no clue when I had my RNY that 9 short months later we would have an insurance plan that wouldn't have covered any form of weight loss surgery. I thank God everyday that everything worked out the way it did. I'm sure that you will look back and realize you made a good choice in having RNY when you did.
Soon you'll be on the loser's bench!
Good Luck!
