Popsickles (sugar free), homemade chicken broth, and ramen broth helped me A LOT!!!

Hang in there......this is the tough part......every other evening was tough for me but it will get better!  Truly!!!

This might sound a little weird, but I used to take Sugar Free, caffeine free Hansen's soda, or other natural sugar/caffeine free soda's, pour them into ice cube trays and freeze them. (The freezing takes care of the carbonation, which you def don't want to deal with right now).

The ice cubes are just the right size to pop in your mouth and you can suck/chew on them to your hearts content. It helps your fluid intake, and there are so many flavors of natural sodas that I never got bored. My favorite was the Hansens Mandarin Lime, and the Kiwi Grapefruit.

Hubby swears I had an ice cube in my mouth non-stop the first few weeks out of surgery, but I didn't care. I just needed SOMETHING besides regular popsicles and other clear liquids.

Another thing that helped me was getting the Campbells Chunky Soups and straining out all the good parts (ie, actual food) then just drinking the broth. For some reason that broth was much more satisfying to me than just reg chicken or beef broth - I think it's just more flavorful, so that may help too.

Hang in there, and just remember, each day you get through you are one day closer to advancing your diet to the next stage. And it's all SO worth it!

I'm so glad we weren't alone on this. Thanks so much for the encouragement. I can't wait to be done with these protein shakes. Me and my mom discovered the sugar free popsicles this morning and we've been eating them almost all day. I think we found something to sustain us for a little while longer
