Ok so my nutritionists meal plan was:
1 week clear liquids-done
1 week full liquids--done
1 week pureed foods-done

3 weeks out from RNY and i'm on solid foods.Im suppose to be consuming 3, 1/2 cup meals a day to equal 1000-1200 calories. I've been an extremely light eater so far but always took my protein, vitamins and liquids etc. So i spoke to the NUT and she said i really need to aim for 1000 calories. Either add in another meal or eat more than 1/2cup, if tolerated. So far i've tolerated everything that i tried since day 1. Today i ate pureed pinto beans with cheese and greek yogurt(maybe 1/4 a cup) and half of a reduced calorie cheese stick. Then i had cream of chicken 60 calorie broth and herbal tea for some liquids besides crystal light. And for dinner i ate literally 1 thin slice of turkey deli meat with mustard and the rest of my cheese stick along with a few bites of cooked spinach. I can tell when to stop because i get this bubbly burping feeling. At best this was 800 calories. Am i doing okay so far? Im pretty nervous to add new foods to my diet and am told to steer clear of raw fruits and veggis for 2/3 months. Its so hard to measure and count calories too...hopefully as time goes on it will fall into place for me. Any tips on my food plan would be appreciated! --Nicole

You are doing fine. I am 9 weeks out and still not consuming 1000 calories. Just prioritize your protein to get the 65 grams in each day and your 64 ounces of fluid and vitamins. You will do fine. Slowly you will find you can eat a whole yogurt. Tonight I got down 1 cup of Wendy's chili before I got the full feeling. I just started raw apples without peels this week. So far doing good and putting a bit of peanut butter or cheese on them. 3 apple slices sliced thin are plenty for me. Stay away from raw carrots for a very long time. I have heard horror stories.

I am on week five and my daily max has been 700 calories and I often fall below that.....500 to 600. I feel ok, getting liquids and protein in. I wouldn't worry.
