I know I'm probably too early for it now, but I was just wondering if and when I will ever be able to eat pizza again!!??
Most likely thin crust due my new found fear of eating bread!!!

Wow... no carbs for a year?  Glad your NUT is not my NUT!  I had some carbs even on my puree. (Farina and Oatmeal) and my soft adds whole grain bread/crackers.

Wow!! I think I would die with no carbs for a year!! I have been able to eat pretty much anything since I've left the hospital!! But I try to keep the carbs to a bare minimum if any at all!! Unless its like grits or potatoes or something. Until now, I want pizza SOO BAD!!!

honestly I think a low carb tortilla with sauce and cheese and toppings later on will be ok,

Remember, this is not a diet.  It is a way of life.  No food is really off limit (unless your surgeon & NUT say so) food is to be consumed in moderation.  If you are able to eat thin crust pizza, allow yourself to.  Bread is difficult for me but I have had a slice or 2 from time to time.

I am perfectly content being perfectly UN-perfect

Yea, my surgeon told me I can eat regular foods in moderation. Just a try a little bit and see how it settles before continuing. As of now, other than meat, I haven't tried any "solid foods".

Here is my vegetarian version of pizza (you can add other toppings to your liking):

1 split and toasted 100% whole wheat sandwich thin, 1/3 cup pizza blend cheese, 1/4 cup vegetable primavera sauce, 1/8 cup fresh or canned sliced mushrooms, 2 tablespoons sliced California ripe olives, 1 canned petite artichoke heart, 2 teaspoons parmesan cheese (heat pizza in microwave 1 minute).
