regular hot dogs?  no way.  at least they didn't work for me at 3 months post op.  2 bites and I felt like crap the rest of the day.

I know we crave foods. But try to make the best choice of that food for your body. Hot dog would be low on my list. There are better quality hot dogs if you just have to have it. But think about what you want to put in your body to keep it running well. Every day and sometimes every meal is a challenge.

At 7 weeks out I can have ANYTHING (in moderation of course) up to about 1/2 cup per meal concentrating on protein first.  Try any new item by itself to be sure you tolerate it well before eating it with anything else.  Good Luck!

6 g protein
420 mg sodium

They are quite good.  I perosnally have not issues with sodium but that is the thing to watch if you do have senstivity.

Ingredients

TURKEY WHITE MEA****ER, DEXTROSE, CORN SYRUP, MODIFIED CORN STARCH, MALTODEXTRIN, CONTAINS LESS THAN TWO PERCENT: SALT, POTASSIUM LACTATE, POTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, SOY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE, SODIUM DIACETATE, ASCORBIC ACID (VITAMIN C), SODIUM NITRITE. CONTAINS SOY

I eat the vegetarian hot dogs by morning star or the white turkey hot dog.  Keep the fat low when making choices.
