crackers?
I feel so bad. I am only 12 days out and i have been keeping track of my food on the nutrition tracker on OH. I love it. The calorie count, protein count and the pie chart are great. Anyway, I was a bad RNYer and slipped up and had 2 crackers on day. i was having a horrible day and have been much better about food choices, but I have an wppt with the surgeon tomorrow, I am like feeling sooooooo bad. I really do. I actually had a conversation with myself to eat them. I just feel guilty about it. Oh well i know I will hear it now, I jusr wanted to put it out there. HUGGZ!!!
Congratulations you're human-lol. Everybody makes a bad choice every now and then. Being a successful post op doesn't mean you NEVER make a bad choice, it's learning from it when you do. If you don't want crackers in your diet, find a good food alternative, or non food activity that will take you away from the crackers or whatever else is tempting you. Please don't feel guilty-this is a journey with lots of learning opportunities along the way. Hugs back at ya - you're fine!

I heard someone say that if I make good choices 92% of the time then the other 8% won't kill me. This is a lifestyle, not a diet. If you want crackers in your plan make a good choice and have them. I have 2 Rye Krisp a day. Whole grain and no wheat. So far I am alive and still losing weight.
You aren't expected to deprive yourself for the rest of your life. In fact, that is a set up to failure. Just make the best choices you can and allow yourself something once in a while.

Do NOT beat yourself up over 2 measly crackers! No one is perfect and this is a learning process not an immediate fix for all of our bad eating behaviors. You could have done MUCH worse than 2 crackers, and if you get in the habit of beating yourself up about small slips, what are you going to do when you have a really BIG screw up?!? Just acknowledge the slip and move on. Feeling guilty or feeling abd about yourself will do nothing except possibly fuel the desire to eat for comfort...
