How long does the pain on the left side take to get rid of?  I feel great other than this constant pain on my left side when I get up and move around.  Doesn't bother me when I'm sitting. I'm 6 days out.

It hurt really bad for me for about 2 weeks after surgery and then it was tolerable for another couple of weeks until it subsided.

I had the same thing - it took about 2-2 1/2 weeks to go away - it eventually faded away to nothing. It does get better... it's just one of those nagging pains for a little while!

Left side pain kept me in bed for a month after surgery. I really thought something was seriously wrong, but I've been ok since.  I hope your recovery doesnt take as long.

I've read other threads where people have said anywhere up to a month or so... it's the side where all the major tools go in and most of the work is done. It's also where my drain was for over a week and I had more healing to do after that came out!!

I tried to always slowly stretch to straighten myself up. Deep breaths and moving helps loosen up a bit.
