Make sure you drink a TON with all those fiber supplements, otherwise you'll end up making matters worse.

Colace didn't help much with my constipation, but adding a dose of Miralax once a day in my protein shake does. Its working well.
I was about 8 or 9 weeks out before a slice of wheat toast was on my plan. How about some unsweetened apple sauce? It has fiber and you can always add protein powder to it. If you can eat oatmeal, Quaker weight control oatmeal has 7 grams of protein and fiber in each packet. You should be able to have refried beans which are great fiber at this point. I mix Miralax with crystal light every few days to keep me going.
I don't know how long you've been constipated, but I was for almost a week after surgery and I kept taking the colace 2 x daily and it finally worked on about day 6! Another food that can help would be sugar-free applesauce (made with splenda) or how about some baby food that has fruit such as plums, just be careful of the sugar content. I don't know what your NUT's rules are, but mine is 10 gm of sugar or less per serving. And if nothing works, call your doc and see what they suggest. Good luck.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
