The girls at work have started me on hummus and veggies. I've got carrots, radishes and celery.  That's my "new" snack idea.  Summer is coming so lots of fresh fruits and veggies are coming.  I'm stoked since last summer was my surgery and I didn't get many due to my pre and post-op diet.

What's another great snack idea?

Great question. Since we are told to put protein first, I have been thinking of yogurt, cheese-balls, something that I call meat roll ups (deli meat, onion soup, and cream cheese). I am not a fan of hard cheese, cottage cheese, etc. So this is my way of having protein first and adding carrots, celery, and fruit to round it out. I'd like to see what others say,

I'm pre-op, but I LOVE Greek yogurt with some savory mix as a veggie dip. I've used Hidden Valley Ranch, but I really like Tastefully Simple's Fiesta Dip mix. YUMMY!

Someone told me about making "cheese chips" if you have a snack attack...

I haven't tried doing it yet, but supposedly you get shredded chedder, and shredded Colby / Jack.
Mix it all up, then get some parchment paper and put it on a cookie sheet.

Put little piles of the shredded cheese on the parchment paper keeping in mind that the cheese is going to melt, so leave appropriate space between piles.

Bake the little piles of cheese until golden brown.  Take em out of the oven, and let them sit for few seconds.  As soon as they begin to set up, use a spatula to get them off the baking sheet and put them on some paper towels to dab up the cheese oils.  Let them cool and supposedly you get a snack thats crispy like a chip but all the goodness of cheese.

I plan to make them, then sneak them into the movies with me.

I love roasted soy nuts. And, yeah, I, too, am finally able to eat fruits and vegies pretty well again. We've had some good navel oranges. And we've been buying green bananas, so they'll last longer... why didn't we think of that before? :P

Turkey pepperoni chips (basically they're over-microwaved pepperoni, cooled)
Also pepperjack cheese, smokehouse almonds, greek yogurt, BBQ pork skins.
