So my mom and brother are doing this Dukan diet and I was just wondering if anyone knew if Oat Bran is OK for us RNY'ers??  She gave me a recipe that uses oat bran, plain greek yogurt and egg whites to make pancakes.  I know the oat bran is supposed to help keep and make you full I wonder if that is ok with our stomachs?  I'm about 13 months out.

Thanks!!!
Missy

I saw that on Dr Oz this morning.  I would think it would be fine.  I eat ground flax seed with no problem.  Oat bran is pretty soft in compairson to wheat bran.

Theoretically, RNYers can eat anything. So try it and see how YOUR body responds.

I've done fine with oat bran. Like Marilyn said, you can eat anything in theory. You just have to see how it makes you feel when you actually try it.

Good luck and enjoy - sounds yummy!

Any update on the dukan diet and rny'ers? I'm on it now, and I'm happy that I'm not hungry, but just want to make sure it's safe to do.

Oat Bran was on my Full Fluids menu alongside Cream of Wheat. It's fine to eat.
