protein bullet IS THIS THE ONE????
I can't remember what it was called...I wish I would have paid attention LOL It was given to us by the dietitian at the surgeon's office. I finally was able to start keeping down some protein shakes, so I never saved the tube or bought anymore, just used the ones from them. Someone said somewhere (not sure if it was here or somewhere else) that Walmart sells the protein shots, but I know nothing about those either. Sorry.
Depending on how far out you are and your activity level your need to rely on protein supplements should diminish.
As more food options are introduced back into your diet then we should be focusing on getting our protein requirements from food. Remember at some point your appetite is probably going to return and the mapabsorbtion aspect of the surgery will diminish. By spending time on Healthy eating habits and focusing on protein rich meals your need for massive supplements will lessen.
Now if you are exercising like a madman and doing weights for hours a week along with cardio then yes your protein requirments will increase and the need to supplement will probably exist, but on average the need to supplement should diminish. I am not talking having a shake for breakfast as many people don't do breakfast or an end of day to get your required calories, but protein supplmenting just for the sake of it doesn't make much sense.
Not to mention I wouldn't trust the label in that they make a point to state the amount of B12 which you will absorb very little of through your GI system.
