Dumping

I ate black bean soup and a few bites of chicken salad at lunch and OMG! I feel awful! I think I'm going to leave work and go home so I can sleep it off.

Anyone else dumped eating either of those two things??

Nope.  It is a little weird, though...
Unless!
Did you make the chicken salad and bean soup?  Or did you carry out from somewhere?  Sugar hides in the strangest places.  Some people put sugar in with their chicken salad and if there are grapes, or dried fruit, then WHAM.  Dump city.  I don't think the soup would fall victim to that, but there is no guarantee.
Feel better soon!

The most likely culprit is the high amount of fat in the mayo in the chicken salad if you purchased it somewhere...  Fat doesn't really cause true dumping (with the shakiness, high heart rate, etc.), but too much fat can make you very miserable.  I am STILL more sensitive to fats than sugars.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I once used a black bean soup recipie that called for sugar but it was only a tsp. I agree with the fat comment above. A lot of bean soups are cooked with some sort of fatty meat.
