Next time..and it sounds like it might be a while before you try...try fatter hamburger meat. I buy 80/20 and cook most of the fat out. 2 1/2 years out and I can't get lean hamburger down.

I can do the burger but not with the cheese.  The cheese makes me sick.  Others on the site suggested it was the high fat content in the cheese.

First, I want to know where you get sandwich thins!! I think I love them, the stats look good, but what about carbs? Second, the beef/hamburger idea is fine if you are on solid food, but you have to be ready if your stomach wants no part of it!! I have tried chicken on several occasions and it was about my favorite meat pre-op and a pretty "gentle" one I thought, but of the times I've tried it, I'd say, probably half the time I, at least, get the foamies!! At least. My pouch just sometimes will not have it!!

So, far my stomach is fine with hamburger, actually, does pretty much, better with that than any other meat, so far. I usually have browned it in a frying pan with taco seasoning, then of course the cheese and greek yogurt for sour cream. I'm not sure if it's the greek yogurt that helps because of the moisture, but I eat it all the time. I say try it if you want, but probably do it at home to make sure everything's cool the 1st time.  Good Luck!

I only strive to be, the kind of person my dogs think I am!

I will definitely do the taco version, I miss tacos also.  I had a fresco chicken soft taco one day.  Two small bites and it was done.  LOL

Every grocery store I have been too have the thins. Walmart alone has like 3 different brands. Giant and martins make a generic. I personally love the Arnold brand.

I find i do not do well with chicken breasts.  i usually end up spitting it out.  DRY DRY DRY.  I stick to thighs.  Anyhow, whenever I try a new food especially something really dense, I chew the hell out of it befor I swallow.  I have had hamburger without the fixings, with no problems.  I am sure I will only get about 2 bites before the whole event is over.  But I really have been wanting one.  I had a half of a quarter of a BLT a few days ago.  I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

Here in NY, you can get a high fiber, high protien, whole wheat wrap (flour tortilla) and they are only 71 calories.  If you make your burger and steam it, all the grease comes out and goes down in the water, so VERY low fat and very moist (easy to the pouch).  I steam and slow boil almost all of my meat now:)
