Hi everyone!!! I won't be getting surgery for at least another 6 months but I wanted to get opinions on protein shakes-
it seems I will be making friends with them quite a bit on my journey and I want to find the best tasting ones around.   Anyone have suggestions???

I've tried several and for me the best one so far is Unjury...Chocolate Splendor.  You have to order it online but it was worth it for me.

Never one for lack of opinions, here's mine! I like the Premire Nutrition chocolate RTDs from Costco. Also bought a HUGE bag of Cytomax Whey powder in chocolate and it mixes very well with both water and milk. I liked ProteinBlitz RTDs before surgery but find them too sweet postop. Immediately postop the only protein I found easy to get down was Unjury chicken soup. Your tastes will likely change postop, especialy if you have a liquid diet pre & postop, so samples are good to have on hand in abundance. Vitalady.com & BJ Bariatrics are my go-to online sites.

Sure, I always accept friend requests. Though by NO means a vet so you may want to pick some to add to your friends as they have SO much more wisdom!

I drink BioChem Whey Protein (chocolate, vanilla, or berry). I buy them through Amazon. I lived on them during my pre-op diet, so now they taste pretty good to me. I had a little trouble tolerating them with milk for a few weeks after surgery, but now I don't have any problems with them.

I too drink the Premier ones from Costco. I am going to try a protein shake I used to sell and get back to you guys on that next week. I am not quite ready to try it yet.

Its good to do your research.
I will let you know thought that your tastes may change after surgery and protein that you loved pre surgery may make you spew post -op.
I will say I liked the costco shakes as well.
Keep reading here, check some of the great bariatric food blogs and you will be ready to go come surgery time.
