An outlet for cooking (when you barely eat)

I joined a program that offers free meals to homeless and low income individuals and families. I do it once a month and bring GOBS of food.

I am not such a passionate cook, but I am the oldest of 10 siblings (meaning, I learned how to cook in rather large batches), plus I used to make loads of food and freeze it prior to surgery, so I need an outlet for huge quantities.

The people we serve are some of the most gracious and appreciative I have ever encountered.

Let me get this straight. . . you are still cooking large portions and then donate it to a program that offers meals to the needy? How wonderful is that?!

I need to learn how to cook smaller meals, too. I'm in the process of a divorce and will no longer be feeding a husband with a huge appetite.

That's awesome.

I'm use to cooking in large quantities and end up feeding others too.  My coworkers are usually the ones that benefit from my cooking.

I may have to check into programs we have locally here.
