Pissed off and wasted.......
You seem to like fruit favors. You can get Nector samples. Many of them are fruity. I liked their cherry and the roadside lemonade. Can add additional crystal light to up the lemonade taste. 23-25 gm protein per serving. Mixes well with water. Greek yogurt is a good protein. I add sugar free jams and kashi. Good luck. My protein drink in am is 42 gm. My nut and many people on this board know that absorbing 30 gms only is a urban myth.
Honey 40 pounds lost is GREAT! I got stuck there too. I'm down somewhere between 60 and 65 on any given day. And i'm further out than you. I refuse to think of myself as another failure (failed with the band first).
I cannot drink protein shakes. They make me even more constipated. So I make double milk sugar free chocolate milk. It's delicious! Nesquik makes a great sugar free chocolate powder. Just becareful if you try it... it's really chocolatey. I don't use the amount they tell you to. I make 20 ounces at a time, and it's got 40 grams of protein. It counts as my liquids too. So with what I eat, and that every day>... I'm good with my protein.

I had very similar experiences making protein shake concoctions. Even sometimes when I followed recipes from people here, it still tasted disgusting and I got tired of pouring them down the drain. So I stuck with the couple of could tolerate and focused on getting protein from foods. Fortuntely, I also really liked (still do, and still use) vanilla or unflavored powder in SF hot chocolate, the Unjury Chicken Soup flavor, and unflavored protein powder in tomato soup.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I understand your frustration with shakes. For the record, I am 17 months out and have only found shake recipes I like WITHIN THE LAST TWO MONTHS. I cannot begin to tell you how much protein powder and other ingredients I have thrown in the trash or dumped down the drain. I used to get so freaking mad about it, because I am in my twenties and in college with no stable job. Money is TIGHT, and I hate putting my dollars down the drain.
Now? OH. MY. GOSH. I can't WAIT for shake time! Not kidding. Thanks to people on this board like Nik, Pam, and Shelly (aka Eggface), I get EXCITED to make shakes. Like, almost TOO excited... my fiance thinks I have lost my mind... but then he comes begging to drink any leftovers I have. Whenever I find a recipe I like, I tweak it to fit my particular tastes, then insert it into a binder that I have labeled *ahem* "My Bariatric Bible." Seriously, if you haven't visited their sites, you really, really should. For a long time, I avoided trying to make my own shakes because I thought it would be more costly and take too long to make (blah blah blah). Actually, I did the figures the other day, and I've SAVED money because I actually LIKE what I'm drinking and I'm not wasting it. For me, supplementing with shakes is essential because I KNOW I'm getting in all my protein that way.
It gets better with experimentation and time. Hang in there.
I am just glad you are not drunk. I was very, very concerned when I clicked on the link. NO VODKA IN YOUR PROTEIN SHAKE, Madam!
