There is a bread called P 28 which has 14 grams of protein per slice - so together would be 28 grams.  I have made toast with it and it is great! check online or in certain specialty stores

They sell it in stores? Wow.

I don't like it much personally (it's like chewing terrycloth) but since I bought a loaf (for a lot of damn money for bread!) I figure I should make good use of it. There are lots of recipes on Bariatric Foodie using it and I will admit I find it tolerable when you cook it. Straight up? No way!

Wow I thought it was pretty normal tasting.... - But I did toast it and put butter on it...!

Again, it's not the taste but the TEXTURE that bugs me. It's high gluten which makes it chewier than even whole wheat bread. The taste is fine. It tastes just like normal bread.

I miss bread so much I feel like crying sometimes.  :-(   Oh well, this is better.  Wheat crackers are my sub.

I do the pepperidge farms or the oroweat deli thins or the mission carb balance tortillas. I have even made lasagna with the tortillas. I get a craving for bread every once in a while but, have managed to stay away from it as long as I have one the others available to me.
